Textured Canadian Yellow Pea Protein Chunks (70%)
Our Textured Pea Protein Chunks are made from 100% yellow peas and are an ideal vegan meat substitute.
These concentrated pea protein chunks are high in plant protein and fibre, and are completely gluten and soy free. The mildly-flavoured, unseasoned, pale-yellow chunks simply need to be rehydrated (we recommend soaking them in hot vegetable stock for 10-20 mins) before cooking into hearty, savoury meals such as curries, pasta dishes and wraps.
When dry, they are hard and slightly crunchy but after preparation, they are soft with a spongy, meat-like consistency. With 70 grams of protein per 100g, textured pea protein chunks are a wonderful meat replacement and also a great alternative to soy chunks.
Processing
The yellow peas grown and harvested in Canada, are minimally processed by simply grounding the peas into a fine powder then pressing the powder under pressure into the right shapes.

Suggested Use: Soak in hot water for 10-15 minutes until chunks are rehydrated before adding to the dish, cook until the product is piping hot. Store in a cool and dry place.
