Raw Chia Seeds

Regarded locally as an important food for centuries, Chia seeds are believed to have been a staple of the Aztec diet. Recently, Chia seeds have gained a global reputation for their various health and nutrition benefits. Chia has become popular with athletes, especially endurance runners, who favour its combination of carbohydrates and Omega 6 and 9 fatty acids.

Processing 

The chia seeds are harvested and cleaned. We then sieve through our seeds before they are packed.

• Can be used as a vegan substitute for eggs. Chia seeds can absorb about 10-12 times their weight and form a gelatin-like substance.

This product does not contain any substances causing allergies (Directive 2007/68/EC) as or intolerances as ingredients or by the possibility of cross-contamination. No colours, binders, fillers or preservatives added. Certified organic by the Soil Association and registered by the Vegan society. 

Suggested Use: Chia seeds can be used in a variety of ways. Try our seeds in baked goods, sprinkled raw onto salads or drunk with water and lime juice. Sevenhills Wholefoods recommends consuming up to 15g per day.
