Organic New Zealand Wheatgrass Powder

Wheat was one of the first cultivated cereal grains, dating back to ancient Asian and Middle Eastern Cultures. Widely respected as a superior product, Sevenhills Wholefoods’ Organic New Zealand Wheatgrass Powder is sourced from one of the best suppliers in the country, organically certified for over 20 years.

Today, Wheatgrass is known globally as a fantastic dietary supplement, offering a wide spectrum of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes, as well as being an excellent source of Chlorophyll and Vitamin C. These nutrients found within Wheatgrass are known to maintain the healthy function of many areas of our body, including our eyesight, skin, hair, teeth, immune and digestive systems as well as its antioxidant content, which is crucial for cell repair and protection focused on during detoxification regimes.

Processing

The grass is dried within 6 hours of being harvested. Once the raw material has been dehydrated, it is then milled into a fine powder. It takes 5kg of fresh leaves to produce 1kg of powder.

Allergens

Organic New Zealand Wheatgrass Powder, sourced from the EU, with no binders, fillers, colours or preservatives added. Sevenhills Wholefoods products do not contain any substances causing allergies (Directive 2007/68/EC) as ingredients or by the possibility of cross-contamination. The only exceptions are all cereal grasses (wheat & barley products) and kernel powder.

Wheat and barley grasses are free of allergens as ingredients. However, there is a remote possibility of cross-contamination by gluten if the farmer allows wheat and barley to begin developing seeds. Our farmers monitor the growth of the leaves to eliminate this risk, hence we consider our products Gluten Free. Also Dairy Free and registered by the Vegan Society.

Suggested Used

We recommend adding 1 teaspoon of Organic New Zealand Wheatgrass Powder to your daily diet, gradually increasing this to 1 tablespoon (up to 5g per day) over a 6-week period.
