"This sugar looks very appealing with a rich brown colour and even, nubbly appearance, and an enticing nutty, sweet nose. The flavour is pleasingly subtle and gentle yet delivers character and interest. We'd like to use it on our porridge or in a way that really allows the flavour to be fully appreciated.

This is a dark brown sugar, even in texture and slightly coarse. It is quite grainy, and this texture resists dissolving once it hits the tongue, but we appreciated its toffee facets and lack of overt sweetness. We can imagine it working very well in bakes."
