Organic Raw Chia Seeds

Sevenhills Wholefoods Raw Chia seeds are a powerhouse food which has been regarded locally as an important food for centuries and are believed to have been a staple of the Aztec diet. Chia is an edible seed that comes from the desert plant Salvia hispanica that has gained a global reputation for their various health and nutrition benefits.

Interestingly, if soaked in water, Chia seeds can absorb about 10-12 times their weight and form a gelatin-like substance, which in the past has had many uses in culinary environments.

Processing

Chia Seeds are carefully extracted from the salvia hispanica and selected for the highest quality. These are cleaned in natural water then tested and packaged in their raw state.

Suggested Use

Chia seeds can be used in a variety of ways. Try our Organic seeds in baked goods, sprinkled raw onto salads or drink with water and lime juice. Sevenhills Wholefoods recommends consuming up to 15g per day.
