Organic Cardamom Cut & Sifted

Cardamom is one of the oldest spices in the world, and it comes from the Elettaria cardamomum plant. The plant is a member of the Zingiberaceae family, which also includes ginger and turmeric. Cardamom pods contain small, black/brown seeds that are used to make the spice often referred to as “Queen of Spices”.

Our organic cardamom cut and sift is an all-natural, aromatic herbal spice that contains both the pod's shell and seeds.  The granules can be added to sweet and savoury dishes to add a citrusy-sweet flavour and floral aroma. When brewed with hot water, the cardamom cut and sift creates a fragrant infusion with a sweet, pungent, and floral aroma and flavour.

Our Organic Cardamom Cut & Sift is certified to EU Organic Standards according to Regulation (EU) 2018/848 and Great British Organic Standards by the Soil Association under the code GB-ORG-05

Processing 

It is made by simply crushing whole, dried cardamom pods into small pieces.

This product does not contain any substances causing allergies (Directive 2007/68/EC) as or intolerances as ingredients or by the possibility of cross-contamination. No colours, binders, fillers or preservatives added. Certified organic by the Soil Association and registered by the Vegan society. 

Suggested Use 

Add 3 to 4 grams a day to any curries, stir-fries, soups, sauces and marinades. Add to baking recipes or soak in hot water to make cardamom tea.
