Organic Cacao Paste 

Sevenhills Wholefoods source their beans from tropical climates in South America, and only those of a premium variety, Criollo. The Theobroma cacao tree is sacred amongst the Mayans and Aztecs. Its fruit, the Cacao bean, is well-known as the basic ingredient in chocolate and has for centuries been forefront in native diets.

Processing 

The seed pods of the Cacao bean are harvested and hand-washed, before being dried and roasted. They are then broken into small pieces (nibs) which are ground slowly to form a smooth cacao paste. We then cool our paste in moulds to solidify as 'wafers'.

This product does not contain any substances causing allergies (Directive 2007/68/EC) as or intolerances as ingredients or by the possibility of cross-contamination. No colours, binders, fillers or preservatives added. Certified organic by the Soil Association and registered by the Vegan society. 

Suggested Use

Cacao paste wafers are great as a snack, yet they can also be used as a healthy replacement for normal chocolate in baking recipes. Sevenhills Wholefoods recommends consuming up to 20g per day.
