Organic Reishi Mushroom Powder

Sevenhills Wholefoods Organic Reishi Mushroom Powder, made from Ganoderma lucidum, is also known as Lingzhi Mushroom and the “mushroom of immortality”. It is a red-varnished, kidney-shaped, polypore mushroom, belonging to the genus Ganoderma. Reishi Mushroom is amongst the most revered traditional herbal medicines, growing in various hot and humid locations in Asia. Traditional Chinese healers first began using Reishi mushroom more than 2,000 years ago during the Han dynasty, due to its immune system boosting and anti-inflammatory properties.

Reishi mushrooms are also known to be rich in beta-glucans, a specific polysaccharide with immunostimulatory and anti-tumour activities. We use only the fruiting body of the mushroom (not the mycelium), as this is the most nutrient-rich part of the mushroom, where the most beta-glucans are found.

Processing:

We harvest the raw Reishi mushroom and grind it into a fine powder. It is then steam sterilised before being packed.

Suggested Use:
