"This looks an attractive product. There is a good separation of grain. There is a fluffy, springy texture with a touch of crispness through the sprouts giving texture and interest. There is lightness and freshness around the grains and a natural nuttiness.

This is pale straw with mushroom-coloured hints and an attractive honeycomb structure. It is light as a feather but with a gently nutty texture and the aroma of earthy potato skins. Very clean finish. well made."

Organic Raw Royal Quinoa Grain

Quinoa (pronounced “Keen-Wah”), is an Andean plant, originating in the area surrounding Lake Titicaca in Peru and Bolivia, where it is believed to have been cultivated for the last 7000 years.

During the age of the Incan empire, Quinoa was an important, sacred crop, and referred to as the “mother of all grains”. Just like fine wine, some regions produce better quality products than others. Quinoa grown in Bolivia is known as ‘Royal Quinoa’ and is considered to be the highest quality of Quinoa in the world. The result is a larger, rounder seed that tastes nuttier and fluffier once cooked than any other variety, and boasts a more nutritious dietary profile.

Processing

Our Organic Royal Quinoa goes through very minimal processing. Our farmers harvest and wash the royal grain, which is then weighed and sieved to remove and seeds. We then inspect for premium quality and package.

Suggested Use

Take 15g of Organic Quinoa Grain per day or use however much is required as an alternative to rice, pasta or other grains.
