Cacao comes from the seeds, commonly known as beans, of the Theobroma cacao tree,, a tropical evergreen cultivated in warm, humid regions around the equator. These seeds are used to make chocolate and are naturally rich in nutrients and antioxidants. Cacao paste is made from the paste of ground nibs from cacao beans. Our organic cacao paste is moulded into pastels for convenience, and has a rich bitter chocolate taste for use in chocolate making, hot drinks, dessert and baking. A healthier alternative to traditional chocolate.
