Organic Coconut Sugar

Many traditional communities throughout the world consider coconut trees as “The Tree of Life”, due to the provision of a variety of accessible products from which they earn their livelihoods. Organic Coconut Sugar is one of the healthiest types of natural sweetener. The sugar has a rich sweetness and a hint of caramel flavour, similar to brown sugar.

Processing

The coconut sap is harvested and then heated to thicken. Once it has cooled it is milled and filtered to create the granulated coconut sugar.

Our Coconut Sugar has a lower glycaemic index of 35, compared to cane sugar’s 50, which means that the body receives a much more sustained, balanced carbohydrate breakdown over time.
