Spirulina is a microscopic algae, flourishing naturally in various warm areas of the world. Grown by photosynthesis in freshwater, Sevenhills Wholefoods’ Spirulina contains more essential nutrients than almost any other food on the planet.
Centuries ago, it was believed to have been cultivated as a staple food by the Aztecs. Today, it is consumed worldwide as a dietary supplement and is used widely as part of detoxification programs due to its remarkable antioxidant content. Processing:
Sevenhills Organic Spirulina is harvested in fresh after cultivation ponds. The algae are collected using mesh screens, wet and then spray dried. This product is ground and sieved to create our Organic Spirulina Powder. We then press into a convention tablet form.
