Rich, indulgent, and surprisingly easy to make, these Acai Chocolate Truffles are the perfect no-bake treat. Made with wholesome ingredients and coated in dark chocolate, they're naturally satisfying with a delicious fruity twist from our Organic Acai Berry Powder. Perfect as an afternoon snack, homemade gift, or healthier dessert.

Ingredients

  • 150g ground almonds
  • 1 tbsp Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp Sevenhills Wholefoods Organic Acai Berry Powder
  • 90g dark chocolate (70% cocoa recommended)
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
  • Finely chopped cacao nibs, for sprinkling

Method

  1. Add the ground almonds, Organic Acai Berry Powder, Greek yoghurt, and honey to a food processor. Blend until the mixture comes together into a soft, dough-like consistency. If the mixture feels too wet or sticky, simply add a little more ground almonds until it is easy to handle.
  2. Transfer the mixture onto a clean work surface and roll it into a long sausage shape. Cut into 10–12 equal portions, then roll each piece into a smooth ball.
  3. Break the dark chocolate into small pieces and place them in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water (a double boiler). Stir occasionally until the chocolate has melted and is smooth.
  4. Using a fork, skewer, or cocktail stick, dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Place the coated truffles onto a lined plate or tray.
  5. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle each truffle with finely chopped cacao nibs and a pinch of flaky sea salt.
  6. Refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or until the chocolate has completely set. Remove from the fridge and enjoy!

Top Tip

For the best flavour and texture, allow the truffles to sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before serving. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
