This is a large 1kg bag of cacao powder, so it should last quite a while depending on how often you use it. I mainly bought it for hot chocolate rather than baking.Following the suggestion on the pack, I used around one tablespoon per cup of hot milk. On its own it’s quite bitter (as expected for non-alkalised cacao), but adding a teaspoon of sugar made a big difference and resulted in a really nice, rich drink.The powder itself seems good quality and mixes reasonably well, especially with hot milk.One downside is the outer seal on the bag. One side seals properly, but the other isn’t great and doesn’t fully close. That said, there is a secondary resealable strip underneath, which works fine and keeps the contents fresh.Overall, a good product with a proper, natural cacao taste - just let down slightly by the initial seal. I’d consider buying again, although this bag will last me a long time.

I have always loved Sevenhills products and this Cacao powder was no exception. Excellent quality, very finely ground allowing for quick mixing whether making a cup of hot chocolate, a cake mix, or using to garnish a dish it’s fine texture is perfectly suited to your task. For me it does need a sweeter in a drink , I use xylitol but any sweetener works. For yogurt it works just sprinkled on. The packet is very easy to reseal between uses. The colour is attractive and of course the aroma is simply wonderful. A very versatile ingredient made to a very high quality. Well priced also. Highly recommend to you.

Very good. Cacao. Powder. Texture. Very smooth and tasty.

Positives: nice tasting cacao with a good flavour and not overly bitter.Negatives: 1. Does not always blend well it better using a Whizzer to mix when making a drink.2. Stains teeth if drinking regularly and your cups.I have purchased a couple of times and enjoyed it but due to the teeth staining will probably not buy again as have not had this issue with cacao from other brands.

Sevenhills is a privately owned, UK whole foods company selling nutrient dense food products which are often organic and directly sourced from farms around the world. I frequently buy items such as organic chia and linseeds from them and can recommend their products/pricing going back a number of years..Don’t buy this cacao powder with your eyes closed if you want to drink it and you’re used to purchasing hot chocolate ready made! This is a world away, wonderfully dense and (in comparison) slightly bitter, darkish aroma but with a lovely smooth texture after mixing. It is pretty much 100% good for you unlike the very sugary hot chocolate.Non-alkalised cocoa is about as natural as you can get as it retains its natural polyphenols; it is lighter in colour than the ‘Dutch processed’ cacao, ‘more natural’ in some people’s eyes as it remains closer to the natural product..There are 26 GRAMS of fibre in this product per 100g. Many are pretty surprised by this. One fully heaped teaspoon mixed into a smoothy/homemade hot chocolate/greek yoghurt etc can provide 10 per cent of your daily fibre target and it tastes wonderful. A real win-win.Cocoa has become very expensive over the last couple of years, however, although expensive this powder is not as expensive as many. And certainly not if you take quality of product into it. It’s not often that you can consider a chocolate product good for you and this one certainly is.

This product is one I have used in smoothies for years, it is a fine, dark powder rich in taste and versatile as it is perfect for using in many sweet treats or in savoury dishes to give depth and earthiness. The texture is a fine powder and the colour is dark, the lack of refined sugar is obvious but that is how I prefer my cacao. The nutrient profile is great for a food ingredient too, a little goes a long way so this is great value for money.
