Premium Ceylon Cinnamon Powder

I really love the taste of this cinnamon, because it isn't to overpowering you can add it in to hot chocolate, porridge, overnight soaked oats, chia pudding, and apple crumble filling.I like the fact that Ceylon cinnamon has a more subtle taste.Sadly though it is so hard to reseal up the pouch and every time you open it a cloud of dust comes out. I wouldn't buy this brand in a kilo bag, because it is a massive amount to have too decent into a suitable container.I filled a jar with it though and managed to realise the bag on my tenth attempt.I am deducting 2 stars for this, as it is quite a major flaw.The bag is so long, I don't have a bag clip of suitable length, I feel this is poorly designed.

I have ordered from Sevenhills Wholefoods several times before and know them to be a quality, ethical brand, so immediately snapped up this bag of cinnamon powder when it appeared on my Amazon Vine screen. Admittedly, a whole kilo of the stuff is quite a lot for one person to get through(!) but I am very happy to share it with friends. I was also pleased that it came in a sturdy, resealable bag, which is wider than it's tall, so it will stand up securely in my kitchen cupboard. (I have included a photo as the website only shows the usual-shaped pouch.) Reassuringly, the best before date is 30/09/2027.I don't do much fancy cooking these days, but do like to eat a healthy diet at all times - no UPFs for me! I always start my day with porridge with added seeds and fruit, either fresh or dried, and this cinnamon powder reminded me that I have lots of cooked apple in my freezer, left over from last summer's windfall apples. I love the combo of apple and cinnamon, and this cinnamon powder really spiced up my morning porridge - and made me realise how inferior the powder was that I was using before. Also, I drink black coffee at home, but like to have cappuccino when meeting friends for coffee. However, I don't like chocolate powder sprinkled on my cappuccino, and am always surprised at how rarely cinnamon is offered as a substitute. Well, now I can take my own with me - I shall have a rummage in my kitchen cupboards to see if I can find a suitable mini shaker!£24 seems quite a lot to shell out in one go for a bag of cinnamon powder, but given the quality, and the fact that a little goes a very long way, I think the cost is reasonable. For me, it's also important to know that I'm buying a brand that supports  Rainforest Concern, a charity protecting some of the world's most threatened natural habitats and the communities that depend on them.

I like Sevenhills as a brand and have previously used several other of their products, which I have found to be good quality.The same can be said of this cinnamon powder , which I think is really good quality.The 'True Ceylon' name is a bit strange in post-colonial times but having done a bit of research, I discovered it means it's a variety derived from Sri Lanka, which has a lighter, sweeter and more aromatic flavour than standard cassia cinnamon. Keeping this name is more about product differentiation and continuity than anything else.The 400g size is generous and good value if you use cinnamon regularly, which I do every day throughout the winter in my porridge. It smells and tastes lovely, the powder is fine and evenly ground and the colour is a good indicator of quality.A bag of this size will last a long time unless you're using it in a commercial setting. So once opened, you'll need proper airtight storage to keep it at its best. I roll down the bag and use clips.Overall, this is a high-quality, beautifully aromatic smelling and tasting cinnamon that's well-priced.Recommended.

This is a good quality cinnamon powder, provided in an all plastic storage pouch. The pouch has a decent resealable top strip. The section of removable plastic above the resealable strip didn't remove particularly readily by tearing - this really needed scissors.The cinnamon is very finely ground and has a good, rich, milk chocolate colour indicative of freshness. This smells great: very aromatic. The packet I received has a fairly long shelf life, with a best before date around 18 months from the time of writingThe price point of £14.99 for the 400g packet (roughly £4 per 100g) seems broadly comparable to other brands' offerings.

I'm on the fence currently after tasting it on its own.I have cinnamon sticks so I can't comment on the powder price - £14.99 for 400g. I guess it is better value for money than buying it in small jars.

For £14.99 you get an industrial sized bag of cinnamon powder which is very good value.I only use cinnamon powder occasionally in drinks and cooking so this bag is probably going to last me until its expiry date in 30 / 09 / 27.I think this size of purchase (400g) would better suit someone who uses it on a more industrial scale such as for regular baking, cooking or coffee making.There is a nice recipe on the bag for making a cinnamon latte but even their own recipe says to use HALF a tea spoon of powder so it would take forever to use the whole bag!Flavour wise, it tastes as good as any other cinnamon powder I have purchased and smells just as fragrant!The branding is very on point and makes the product feel more premium.

It is packaged in a large waterproof bag but rather heavy with it being 1kg and packed compact. The texture and consistency is as expected with fine particles and it has a cinnamon latte recipe on the front of the pack. Overall I am delighted with this pack of cinnamon with an expiry date of 2027. I have began using it in food and drink as my previous powder finished and am pleased with the taste.

Perfect cinammon powder.Comes in a zip lock bag but I decant mine as the zip lock bit is hard to close due to powder getting into the zip rails.I have tried a few things by SevenHills and they are all of good quality.No preservatives or anything in this pack.Taste is fresh and cinammony.We use this in so many things so the big pack is convenient to have.Long shelf life.

The Cinnamon Powder is good quality and smells gorgeous. Its sweet and pleasant smell is so strong that I can smell it even without opening the bag. The powder is great for baking, porridge, muesli and coffee. I am glad that it's true Ceylon, so it contains very low coumarin which isn't great for our health at big doses. The powder came in a resealable bag but I prefer to keep it in a airtight container to preserve its lovely taste, flavour and freshness. The big 1 kg package means great value for money.
