Cacao comes from the seeds, commonly known as beans, of the Theobroma cacao tree, a tropical evergreen cultivated in warm, humid regions around the equator. These seeds are used to make chocolate and are naturally rich in nutrients and antioxidants. Cacao butter is made from the fat extracted from cacao beans, and is used for making chocolate, or as an ingredient in baking and desserts. Our cacao butter is derived from organic beans that undergo a fermentation process to reduce their bitterness for a smoothy, creamy texture and mild chocolate aroma.
